Becky’s New Car

By Steven Dietz

Directed by Becky Henderson

Run: April 13 - 29

Mesquite Community Theatre is pleased to announce our production of Becky’s New Car in the Mesquite Arts Center Black Box Theatre, 1527 N. Galloway, Mesquite, Texas. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students, seniors over 55 and S.T.A.G.E. members (with ID card).

Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then, one night, a socially-inept and grief-stricken millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life…and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn't dare. BECKY'S NEW CAR is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.

Directed by well-known and accomplished director, Becky Henderson, the show’s cast includes MCT alumni, Judy Perser, Al Wall, and Jeanne Saadi.  Newcomers include David Johnson, Emily Ragsdale, David Birge, and Casey Norris.

Performances for Becky’s New Car are Fridays and Saturdays, April 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28 at 8 PM, and Sundays, April 15, 22 and 29 at 2:30 PM.
