  3. If I deduct an Office in the Home, I will get audited.
  4. I can be audited twenty-five years or more from now for any income I don’t report this year.
  5. Mileage can never be deducted by actors.
  6. Deducting commissions paid to agents or managers is not legal
  7. If I take any acting deductions, I will get audited.
  8. If my expenses exceed my acting income, I don’t have to report anything.
  9. Only when my acting expenses exceed $5,700 will my refund be affected.

Only number five is true. All of the others are false.

Which is the magic tax Form? What are the rules? Who gets audited? Can I really increase my refund by hundreds, maybe thousands with the right knowledge? What receipts and records do I need?

We’ll answer those questions and more!

David is a member of Actor’s Equity and has been a CPA for over 30 years. He knows show business and he knows how to make sure you maximize your refund (or minimize your tax bill.)

Class fee $20 for STAGE members/$30 for non-members

Class size is limited!
