Contemporary Theatre of Dallas
When our burdens become too heavy to carry alone,
We look to our faith and our friends to help us shoulder the load.

To our CTD patrons,

CTD is deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Grace Loncar - a talented young actress, singer, theatre artist and our friend.  Two days after burying Grace, another tragedy occurred when her father, Dallas attorney Brian Loncar, and husband our Artistic Director Sue Loncar, passed away as well.  We at CTD will turn to faith, family, and friends in our efforts to comprehend the events of the last two weeks, knowing that nothing can fully explain or restore the losses of a daughter, sister, father, husband and our friends.  Your prayers are the best source of strength right now. As for the CTD theatre family of artists, we are devastated - our hearts are incredibly heavy.

Grace has appeared onstage in Working, Little Women The Musical (Amy), and Love, Loss & What I Wore at CTD. Her work onstage was tender, fierce and compelling. Behind the scenes, she worked as a terrific Assistant Stage Manager on a handful of productions, and occasionally delivered the nightly pre-show speech. Grace is the youngest daughter of CTD's Artistic Director Sue Loncar.   We ask that you keep the Loncar family in your hearts and prayers.

As arts patrons, Brian and Sue Loncar  provided a home for artists to create, and a place for audience to come together from all over the DFW Metroplex. Sue's mission these past 14 years has been to gather individuals for a shared experience, and to celebrate the human condition. She has certainly achieved that mission!! Our lives have all been enriched by the Loncar vision and dedication. They provided a space for people to come together to work and for audience to enjoy the company of friends.

On a more personal note, Sue has been a great friend to me and to many performing artists, designers, and audience. I've relished the opportunity to work with some amazing artists the past two seasons, and consider myself grateful for the chance to visit with so many of our patrons as they come through the door.

If you'd like to share your condolences with Sue or happy memories of your visits to CTD, I invite you to send a handwritten note to Sue Loncar at 5601 Sears Street, Dallas, TX 75206 or send me an email at Miki@CTDdallas.com.  I will make sure your emails are shared with Sue.

The wish for peace during the holidays has never been more sincere. Please consider visiting CTD for its final event: a fundraiser on Saturday, December 17th for the PTO of our neighborhood elementary school Robert E. Lee. For more information and tickets visit the ticketing tab on our website at R. E. Lee PTO Fundraiser.
