ROVER DRAMAWERKS CONTINUES 18th SEASON
WITH CLASSIC COMEDY, CHARLEY’S AUNT
Rover Dramawerks continues their 18th Season with the classic comedy Charley’s Aunt by Brandon Thomas. Performances will be at Rover’s theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances run September 13-29 on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.
Jack (played by Jake Stephenson) and Charley (played by Cole Shuffield) invite Kitty (Kate Beckett) and Amy (Haley Evans) to meet Charley’s wealthy aunt from Brazil, but she cancels at the last minute, leaving them without a chaperone. Desperate, the boys draft a college pal (Dakota James) into a black satin skirt, bloomer, and a wig. As “Charley’s Aunt,” this charming frump wins over everyone, but when the real aunt (Sherri Small) turns up, comic confusion ensues!
Rounding out the talented ensemble cast are Mark Massey, Imani O., Santosh Vijayakumar, and Brandon Williams.
Lon Barrera serves as director, with Nicole Lugar as stage manager and props designer. Set design is by Edgar Hernandez, lighting design is by Catherine M. Luster, and sound design is by Mark Howard. Hope Cox provides costume design, with wigs designed by Logan Coley Broker. Kenneth Hall is light and sound board operator.
